A structured 16-part training programme explaining landlord and tenant law in plain English. It is free to Landlord Law members who can sign up via the widget on the Members Dashboard.

Renters’ Rights Act Masterclass Recordings
This is a recording of a three hour Masterclass given by solicitor Tessa Shepperson on 21 April 2026. It goes into a lot of detail about the new rules. Once you have watched it, you will understand not only the new rules (and be in a better position to avoid penalty fines!) but why the government brought them in.
Note that Landlord Law Business Level members can watch this as part of their membership entitlement.

Training courses available to Landlord Law members
All members can attend a monthly training webinar. Topics and speakers vary but are generally on a legal issue which is relevant to landlords.
Speakers are usually a specialist housing barrister or solicitor. The webinars are recorded and are then available to view for all Business Level members.

This was an online training workshop with solicitor David Smith which was recorded on 15 June 2023. It is now available to Landlord Law Business Level Members.
Landlord Law is a legal information site, but to properly understand landlord and tenant law, landlords should have a basic understanding of general legal principles.
To help we have a series of seven short courses. The first six are on important legal topics. The seventh, on agency law, is a bit more detailed and is included because so many landlords use letting agents (who are governed, although many may not realise it) by agency law.
The courses available are as follows:
- Common law and statute
- Criminal law and civil law
- Contract law
- Tort (or civil wrongs)
- Trust and Equity
- Land Law
- Agency Law
Note that these courses are only available to Landlord Law members.
Between 2013 and 2022 we ran an annual Landlord Law Conference. All the talks were recorded (with the exception of 2016 where only a few recordings are available).
The Conference talks have now been added to Landlord Law and can be viewed by Business Level Members along with the speakers’ PowerPoint presentations and notes.

This is available via Tessa’s Easy Law Services website. Training can include in house training for letting agents, advice organisations, Local Authorities and the like.
