Landlord-Law Kit 2

*** Note that in view of the uncertainties introduced by a recent High Court decision (reported here on my Landlord Law Blog), we are withdrawing this kit from sale until the legal position is clarified. ***

Landlord-Law kits are do-it-yourself guides for bringing basic legal claims in the County Court. Kit 2 is for claims by tenants against their landlord for the non return of their tenancy deposit. For deposits taken after 6 April 2007, when the deposit is supposed to be protected under one of the government authorised tenancy deposit protection schemes (TDPS), the kit also contains instructions for claiming the 'fine' of three times the deposit sum, which is payable by the landlord under the TDPS regulation (for assured shorthold tenancies only). The kit includes detailed instructionsa for both types of claim and all the court forms.

NB Hover your mouse here to read comments from a Kit 2 user (do not click)Michael Chan, tenant: "Thank you. Your website help me resolve my issue. My problem was unfair deduction of deposit by landlord, and he didn't protect my deposit. With the aid of kit2, I am able to fill in the N208 form and send my landlord a LBA. (And pretended that I have hired a solicitor :P) A week later, my landlord called and have returned what I have negotiated for. I am really happy right now as I was under alot of stress because of the incident. As an eCommerce consultant, I must say I am impressed by your service, materials on the site are extremely useful, forum threads were responded within a business day, and very good user journey throughout the site. Anyway, thanks again and I will definitely recommend this website to my friends.". To read it all, use the down arrow on your keyboard.

Annual members of Landlord-Law can download the kit from the link below.

Non members can purchase access to the kit on our 'moodle' training site at www.housinglawtraining.com. You can do this via the main kits section. It will cost £58.75. This is cheaper than joining as an annual member if all you want is the kit.
