New tenants: you should always check your tenants properly before letting them into your property. You will find links to some companies which offer this service on the mauve banner on your left. Section 48 Notice
A section 48 notice must be served on tenants or rent is not 'due' from the tenants. If no section 48 notice is given in the tenancy agreement this notice can be used. For further information see the FAQ above.
