How Landlord-Law can help Tenants

Are you renting, or about to rent, your home? Would you like to know more about your rights and obligations? Landlord Law, from solicitor Tessa Sheppereson, is an authorative source of information. For example, about:

All of these and more are covered in our tenants information sections. The information has been divided up into six main sections. The first two are for new tenants and for tenants about to sign up to a property. The next three look at your rights during the tenancy and the various problems that may arise. The final section looks at complaining and obtaining further advice, together with an item on discrimination.

However once you have followed one of these links, you can then access all the others easily via an orange members only 'banner index' in the left margin.

The tenants section is a bit like the TARDIS - it is much bigger on the inside ...

There is actually much more informtion available than you would think from just looking at the links. For example, the 'condition of your property/disrepair' link leads to a huge interlinked section with pages on different aspects of the law relating to disrepair, with guidance on waht to do. In the eviction problems section the items on possession notices and possession proceedings are also very long and give a lot of help and guidance.

You can access all this information for just £4.00 for three days!

If you want a longer period of access you can join for one month for £20. This is similar to daily membership, plus you can ask questions in the online forum areaFollow this link to find out more about the forum. Or you can join as an annual member for £80.00.

Petra Hirsch, Tenant: "I won my claim at the Small Claims Court against my former Landlord and she had to return the full deposit and pay for the costs. Thanks for the advice, otherwise I would probably not have had the courage to go ahead and sue her."
