Rent Arrears Action Plan
Many landlords are not sure what to do when their tenants fall into arrears of rent. This action plan (which will also be very useful for agents) will help you, and will advise on what steps you should take, and what documents you should serve. It starts from when the tenant first misses a payment and goes up to preparing for eviction proceedings and bringing a County Court claim for judgement (should this action be necessary).
The action plan includes precedent letters for you to download and use at every stage, and links to our possession notices. There are checklists for you to keep a record of what you have done so you can see at a glance what steps have been taken.
