HMO Licensing - on 6 April 2006 provisions under the Housing Act 2004 came into force requiring some (but not all) HMO landlords to obtain a license from their Local Authority. There are stringent penalties for non compliance. Also new management regulations came into force at the same time. You can find out more about this from the information in this section.
We are developing a list of HMO license fees for the different councils across the country. If your Local Authority is not listed please email us, if you are aware of the license fees charged, with details so our list can be as complete as possible.
