Thank you for offering to submit a question to my question and answer page. However before going any further please can you note the following points:
- I can only answer questions that relate to Residential Landlord and Tenant law in England and Wales UK. For example I do not give advice on tax or commercial property. Or for landords/tenants in other countries such as the United States or Australia.
- Questions are answered at my discretion. I am not offering to answer every question that is submitted. Only short questions of general interest will be answered. Long questions are unlikely to be chosen. I may only use part of a question that is submitted.
- You don't have to be a Landlord Law member. Non members have just as good a chance of getting their question answered.
- DON'T WRITE YOUR QUESTION IN CAPITALS - becuase if you do, I won't answer it!
- The answers given will be general in nature and are not intended to be a definitive answer.
- Your answer may not appear for days or even weeks after you submit it, even if it is selected to be answered. Although I try to post new answers at least once a week
- You agree that I will not be held liable in respect of any of the answers given. Before taking any steps in reliance on the advice given, you should seek more detailed legal advice on your problem. These answers are only intended to be a brief guide
- Only five questions and their answers can be seen in the 'open' area (ie if you are not logged in)
- Older questions and their answers can be viewed by logged in Landlord Law members
- If you give your email address, I will send you an e mail letting you know the answer I am putting online. However sometimes e mail messages 'bounce', so do check the page even if you have not heard anything.
