Advice services from Tessa Shepperson
Hello, I am Tessa Shepperson and this page gives details of my 'one to one' advice services.
However bear in mind that for just £20 (landlords) or £15 (tenants) you can join Landlord Law and have access to a vast range of FAQ, articles, tips, trails, and answers to other readers questions in the Q and A section (see >> here for our services guide).
For most people this will be quite enough. However sometimes people wil still need a one to one service.
Please note first of all that I do very little case work nowadays as most of my time is spent writing, developing new services and running this web-site. I do offer some one to one advice though as follows:
1. The Q and A
Every few weeks I answer five questions sent inby readers, which you can see >> here. Members can also read the older Q and A (via the same page). Its always worth submitting a question to be answered. You will see a link for this on the Q and A page. You do not have to be a member to ask a question. However note that your question may not be chosen and even if it is, it may be some weeks before an answer is posted to the site.
Note that there is also a 'blog clinic' on my Landlord Law Blog which you can read about >> here.
2. The members forum
All Landlord Law members have access to our discusison forum. Here you can get help and advice, not only from me, but also from other Landlord Law members, some of whom may also be solicitors or other specialists.
3. Telephone advice
This is a members only service. A telephone advice call is £60 payable in advance. The advisor will either be myself or (for some subject areas) specialist property litigator Simon Parrott.
4. The fixed fee advice service
Finally there is the members fixed fee advice service. You need to be a member to access this and it costs £95. For this you can send your documents (normally I wil need to see the tenancy agreement and any notices served) and I will do a written advice. The advice will be fairy detailed and you will normally be sent it within about 3-7 days after receipt of your documents.
Note however that I am getting in a few solicitors to help with the fixed fee advice work so it is possible that the advice will not be from me. However it will always be from a solicitor who specialises in property work.
If you are a member and want to use the fixed fee advice service, >> click here.
Other than these three services, I do not provide advice.
In particular I am afraid I am not able to give free advice to non members calling or emailing me.
I will try to help members, but please can members only ask questions in the forum and not email me direct. That way my advice will benefit other members, plus you may get as good an answer or better from other members!
