The government and the Law Commission are currently undertaking a general review with a view to overall reform of housing legislation in this country. Various consultation papers and reports have been published over the past few years, most of which can be seen in the two parts of the Law Reform section of Landlord-Law.
In the Consultations section you can see consultation papers which have been issued by government departments and the Law Commission. There are also the responses to our own online survey forms which readers of this site have submitted.
Law students will find the Law Commissions consultation papers particuarly rewarding to read as they contain an excellent summary of the current law.
In the Reports etc section are reports and papers which are not consultation documents. The most recent document is the Law Commission's report 'Renting Homes' released on 5th November 2003.
If you are aware of any report or consultation paper which is related to housing law, but which does not appear in this section, please let us know.
